How Long Is a National Police Check Valid?

A National Police Check is a point-in-time certificate. It shows your criminal history status on the date it is issued. There is no fixed expiry date set by ACIC; instead, each organisation decides how recent the certificate must be (for example, within 3, 6 or 12 months).

Worker Checks can only display your Police Check Certificate for viewing and sharing for 3 months

For Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Checks – the last check completed will be displayed for 3 months (where after 3 months it is deemed “non-current” and will be deleted from the Workerchecks.com System and unavailable for display. You will receive a notification email prior to your checks being deleted.
