How to Add Worker Checks to Your Existing WWCC

4 分钟阅读

There is no single national Working with Children Check. Each state and territory runs its own scheme — under its own name, issuing body and rules — so how you connect Worker Checks to your clearance depends on where you work. This guide covers all eight jurisdictions.

Manage every check in one place — the Support Worker Jobs Plan #

Whichever state you’re in, the simplest way to keep your credentials current is a Support Worker Jobs Plan. Upload your checks once and we track their status against the source and alert you before anything expires. It holds your:

  • WWCC (or state equivalent) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • National Police Check and VEVO right-to-work check
  • qualifications, first aid, and insurance certificate of currency

Build one profile you can e-share with employers, participants and agencies — with renewal alerts so nothing lapses mid-engagement.

维多利亚 #

Check: Working with Children Check  ·  Issuer: WWCC Victoria  ·  Valid: 5 年

Victoria is the one state where you can add Worker Checks to your record yourself. If you already hold a valid Victorian WWCC, add 工人检查有限公司 as a nominated organisation so we’re notified automatically if your status changes.

新南威尔士州 #

Check: Working with Children Check  ·  Issuer: Office of the Children’s Guardian (OCG)  ·  Valid: 5 年

NSW doesn’t let you nominate an organisation on your own record. Instead, the OCG notifies an engaging organisation of any status change once it has verified your WWCC number through the OCG Employer Portal. To connect Worker Checks, provide your full name, date of birth and WWCC number so we can verify and monitor your clearance.

昆士兰州 #

Check: Blue Card  ·  Issuer: Blue Card Services  ·  Valid: 2 年

In Queensland, an organisation links your Blue Card to itself through the Blue Card Services Organisation Portal — once linked, it’s notified of any change to your card status. Provide your Blue Card number (and full name and date of birth) so we can link and monitor it. Note the Blue Card is valid for only 2 年, so renewals come around more often.

南澳大利亚州 #

Check: Working with Children Check  ·  Issuer: DHS Screening Unit  ·  Valid: 5 年

South Australian WWCCs are continuously monitored by the DHS Screening Unit, which notifies all linked organisations if your status changes. Worker Checks links to your WWCC by registering interest through the DHS Organisation Portal. To connect us:

  • have your full legal name, date of birth and WWCC number ready
  • provide these to Worker Checks so we can register interest and link your check
  • if the DHS Screening Unit contacts you to confirm, respond promptly to finalise the link

西澳大利亚州 #

Check: Working with Children Check (WWC Card)  ·  Issuer: Department of Communities Screening Unit  ·  Valid: 3 years

WA issues a physical WWC Card and runs a live check that can be cancelled if your circumstances change. Engaging organisations verify the card and must record its details. Provide your WWC Card number (with your name and date of birth) so we can verify and track it.

塔斯马尼亚州 #

Check: Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)  ·  Issuer: Department of Justice  ·  Valid: 3 years

Tasmania uses a Registration to Work with Vulnerable People rather than a WWCC by name, but the obligations are equivalent. Organisations verify your registration before engagement. Provide your RWVP registration number so we can record and monitor it.

Australian Capital Territory #

Check: Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration  ·  Issuer: Access Canberra  ·  Valid: 5 年

The ACT registration covers work with both children and other vulnerable people. Continuous monitoring applies, and registered employers are notified if your status changes. Provide your WWVP registration number so we can verify and track your clearance.

Northern Territory #

Check: Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card)  ·  Issuer: NT Screening Authority  ·  Valid: 2 年

The NT’s Ochre Card is verified by engaging organisations before you start, and has the shortest validity of any jurisdiction at 2 年. Provide your Ochre Card number (with your name and date of birth) so we can record it and remind you well before it expires.

Important

Worker Checks cannot add or link itself to your check on its own — you need to either nominate us (Victoria) or provide your check details to us or your engaging employer. Keep a screenshot or confirmation email as proof of nomination where your scheme provides one.
