常见问题

常见问题

Do I need a Sri Lanka police check even if I have lived in Australia for many years?
Yes. If you lived in Sri Lanka for six or more consecutive months at any point as an adult, employers in regulated Australian industries may still require a Sri Lanka international criminal history check. This is standard practice in aged care, disability support, healthcare, and other regulated sectors.
What is the difference between the Sri Lanka government PCC and this check?
The Sri Lanka government PCC is issued by Sri Lanka Police and is required for Australian visa and immigration applications. It requires applying through the Sri Lankan High Commission in Canberra or the Sri Lanka Police online portal, with the certificate sent by post. The Worker Checks Sri Lanka check is used for Australian employment screening — completed 100% online in 10 to 15 working days with no High Commission visit required.
Can I use the Sri Lanka government PCC for employer screening in Australia?
Some employers accept the Sri Lanka government PCC for employment screening, but many specifically require an international criminal history check from an Australian ACIC-accredited provider. Always confirm with your employer which format they require before applying.
这张支票是否适用于澳大利亚签证或移民申请？
No. The Australian Department of Home Affairs only accepts police clearance certificates issued directly by official government authorities. For Australian visa applications requiring a Sri Lanka police check, apply through the Sri Lankan High Commission in Canberra (slhcaust.org) or the Sri Lanka Police online portal. The Worker Checks check is for employment screening only.
这张检查单是否适合申请澳大利亚健康从业者注册？
No. AHPRA requires international criminal history checks from its own panel of approved suppliers. The Worker Checks Sri Lanka check is suitable for employment screening but not for AHPRA registration purposes — check AHPRA’s website for its current approved suppliers.
Does my Sri Lanka police check expire?
Yes. Your certificate is stored securely in your Worker Checks CheckHub portal. You can download it as a PDF or share it electronically with your employer directly from the portal — no posting physical copies required.
