Identification Document Requirements for a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check

Police Check Proof of Identity for a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (formerly known as a national Police Check). Applicants require 3 pieces of ID, as per the table below:

  • Australian Passport (expired OK up to 2 years)
  • Foreign Passport (with a valid Australian VISA)
  • Australian driver license, learner permit or provisional license

  • Australian Passport (expired OK up to 2 years)
  • Foreign Passport (current)
  • Australian driver license, learner permit or provisional license
  • ImmiCard
  • Birth Certificate
Document 3
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
  • Utility Bill (showing name and address)
  • United Nations Convention Travel Document
  • Foreign identity documents (Must be in English)
  • Tax File Number
  • Medicare card
  • Electoral enrolment
  • Security Guard/Crowd Control photo licence
  • Consular photo identity card
  • Police Force Officer photo identity card
  • Defence Force photo identity card
  • Photo identity card
