# Jobseeker – What do I enter as position if I am seeking employment?

If you’re a **jobseeker** applying for a **[Nationally Coordintaed Criminal History Check](https://workerchecks.com/product/nationally-coordinated-criminal-history-check/)** or another background check through **Worker Checks**, you’ll be asked to provide a *Position* or *Role Title* during your application.

If you are **not yet employed** or applying for work but need a check as part of recruitment, simply enter:

> **Position:** `Seeking employment`

This clearly tells the system (and any requesting organisation) that you are currently applying for roles rather than already holding a position.
