# Worker Checks Biometric Verification to verify your identity for Police checks

At **Worker Checks**, we use advanced **biometric verification technology** to securely confirm your identity before processing your **Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)** and **International Police Check**.

This cutting-edge system ensures that every applicant’s identity is verified quickly, accurately, and in full compliance with **ACIC (Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission)** standards — so you can complete your **Worker Checks Police Check** entirely online with no certified documents required.

### 🧠 **What Is Biometric Verification at Worker Checks?**

**Biometric verification** is the process of matching your **facial image** to your **official ID** using secure digital analysis.

When you complete a **Worker Checks Police Check**, our system compares your live photo (“selfie”) to the image on your passport or driver licence, confirming that you are the legitimate document holder.

This digital identity-matching method replaces traditional manual ID certification — making **Worker Checks** one of Australia’s fastest and most reliable identity-verification platforms.

### 📱 **How Worker Checks Biometric Verification Works**

When prompted during the application process with the link sent to your mobile device:

Take a photo of your **passport** or **driver licence** — the physical document, not a photocopy or scan.
2. **Take a Live Selfie**
The **Worker Checks verifcation of identity platform**prompts you to capture a live selfie. The technology performs **liveness detection** to confirm it’s a real-time image, not an uploaded file.
3. **Automated Biometric Match (≈ 5 Seconds)**
The system securely analyses and matches your selfie to your ID image within **five seconds**.
